highly recommended. I was looking to upgrade my old machine to support High Speed USB2 interface, I did a lot of research, in the end this card fit perfectly with my budget, the card arrived promptly, very well packaged, installation was a breeze, just pop in and turn on, now I can connect my external drive, printer and digital camera to this puppy. It Works great, no problems what so ever.
A very nice, stable and longlasting accessory. So far, every one is still working, the earliest being a couple of years old by now. Highly recommended. This is the third or fourth of this Iogear USB expansion board I've bought. It goes without saying I'd have stopped at one if it didn't work easily and well, which it does.
There is a slight lag in performance compared to my other system with built in usb 2.0 support. With Windows 7 installed, the drivers loaded automatically. I cannot say that knowing this, the lag, would keep me from making this purchase. I bought this item to put into a test computer: Compaq Presario 5423us. This system only has usb 1.0 ports.
I still have not figured out how to use the port that is available only inside the computer, but the outside ports are sufficient for me. This usb 2.0 card works as advertised and was very easy to install.
Thank you IOGEAR and thank you Amazon. I synched my Blackberry at 21st century speed and I am looking forward to the same speed for my photos. Isn't it wonderful when something works. I just installed the IOGEAR USB 2.0 PCI Card into my Dell Dimension 8200 running Windows XP SP2. The process was so-o-o easy.
